That postmortem video conicides with my scanner recollection far better than Edward Rothman's acccount, although I recall coding the scanner while David produced the ellipse bitmap. To the best of my recollection the new scanner did not emerge from a brainstorming session at Acornsoft, at least not one at which I was present.
