Re: Files from modern PC to DFS disk....

OmniFlop IF (big if) pc can handle FM format, they usually only do MFM being ADFS. UPURS , easy as pie when you have cable and can load rom image into a swram bank. MMFS 1.3+ MMC 33p Interface, put your .SSD in the beeb.mmc file, put SD card in interface, load up the tools TODC basic prog, tell it w...

Re: BBC Model B and DFS Problem

if the 8k DFS090 is not working in other sockets, then it must be the 8k rom
try reading it back with your eprom programmer, and then compare to original image file which is correct

both files match mine, so the images are fine :) but, why does it hang with your 8K DFS090 :? could you try it in the other rom socket to right of it or take out TurboLOL rom and just put in DFS090 just to make sure the sockets are fine. it might be the 32k tMMC/basic2 don't like being with the 8k D...

I use OmniFlop, but only with 31/2" discs with one hole for DFS (FM). Usually format them on laptop, then write a blank disc to it from a emulator, so it puts the correct Cat on sector 0&1, then it's fine in my beebs & elks for saving to. My desktop only does ADFS (MFM) but never use it...

^no, the ADT rom just gives you the *FORM 80(/40) 0 2 1 3 command, so no more typing in your basic prog. IF you have a 1770FDC (which you dont, hence no *FORM) you could then use *DRIVE 0 40 in DFS2.2x (forces to read a 40T disc in a 80T drive (never used myself, as all my drives have a 40/80 switch...
