as said previously , S26 is NOT needed due to the jumper hack on back of MB & VC2023 video proc.

when got a speaker on it , press CTRL G makes a beep, & type *T. , *. ,should make tape relay click, if not then ram /6522 faulty....

you have completely missed my point

in plain crystal english, they differ on each beeb being issue 3/4/7, just like elk issue2/4 don't act like a Issue6!

also a factory tape machine or disc 8271 also differ

^If you read, the UEF was not possible as the protection was a swap from 1200 to 300baud to load first block of main part to &E00
The .WAVs *might* be on my desktop PC, but not got it on regularly as never have time :(

^That looks similar to Space Hi-Way by Amcom, playing that out with TapDancer App works on my beeb Issue4s but not my Issue7s :?
and the beeb Issue3s, well not tried, but can mind them doing a 'click' after ever block loaded 8)

typing errors, as the ^G Beep might invalidate the results always get a 'beep' from after 0, is this the norm? as typed it in fine, even used your SSD to UEF to .WAV on the beeb as my elk iss2 LS232 must be on way out  so, from bare iss4 on power up & load: power up iss4 load.jpg & sof...

If no jumper then it will have the mod on back of board, & you will have a VC2023 at IC6, so that's normal, hence why it worked before it did not like Chuck ie Egg...

Re: Display issue on my spare beeb

^it won't be that , as Mode7 would be good, & other modes bad, or vice versa... I would go with the ram LSchips per Mark, I have a M128 spare in same boat, tried changing the 2 screen chips to no avail. If CTRL-G beeps & *T. , *. Clicks the tape motor, then it lives , you just can't see it :x
