Re: Wishful thinking - B+ OS, C/C++ DFS/ADFS

Yes, elk basic II is identical to beeb basic II. The elk will happily run basic 4 if you drop a 65C02 into it too :)

Re: RISC OS 3.20 ROM's?

You need EtherH8 in there for the minipodules in the A30x0/A4000. I'm not sure you should use the latest ROOL EtherH - it's missing certain functionality (EHTest and EHInfo IIRC). The version I used when I reflashed ROMs in some old etherH podules would seem to be the best - it works perfectly well ...

Re: Image rotation

I realise the forum software hasn't been updated for a bit, but one of the reasons it wasn't updated for ages (and we got hacked) was because it's hard to do with lots of custom code bodged in. The main aim here is keeping things as vanilla as possible to ease updating (and also because in truth non...

Simon, Jason - just to say these are excellent. BeebSCSImini + Flash Floppy GoTEK and now I've been able to ditch the datacentre (sacrilege!), use native versions of all the filesystems and have precisely 0 compatibility problems :) Weeee! :)

Re: New Release: Retro Software's WHITE LIGHT by Sarah Walker

Thanks Daniel - are you able to try the game on a BBC B and check that you are able to restart a new game after losing all of your lives and passing through the high score table (as this seems to be the problem affecting Model B's loading the game from MMC-type devices). If you can confirm I'll upl...

Boot option not set on the floppy. Select the relevant file on the HxC, make sure you can catalogue it, then type *OPT4,3 - that should sort it out.

Re: BeebSCSImini

Just to note, it won't fit under a master, you do need to use an extension cable (female-male 34 way IDC) or replace the header and use a straight 34-34 way cable. For power on the Master, you may well find you're using it with the 80186 coprocessor in which case you're going to want the user-port f...

Re: Saving Programmes on ATOM - current thinking - AtoMMC?

Technically speaking you are right but I have never seen an Atom without this connector. But yes, the connector can be lacking or even worse, mounted at the component side of the board. Mine needed PL8 fitting! :) Gary, when you order an AtomMMC from Charlie, he'll also send you an eprom with it :)...
