Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

Hi All, I plan on posting all new discs here. Also, I need feedback from anyone who finds a problem with any of the games on any of my discs, so that I (or someone else) can sort a solution to it. Although the games have been play tested and checked for errors and grammar etc, there is still the pos...

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

All of my postings of discs have now been amended to show every game on every disc. I have included as much information as I have. Hopefully, this will make it easier for anyone to find a game they like without having to download every disc to check for it. All new discs will now be posted in this w...

Re: New version of Frogger (was: A demo of what is looking like a new Frogger for the beeb)

Hi Tricky,

Ref the latest version of Frogger...

I noticed that only the ZX:/ keys work in the new version and not the cursor keys, WASD or joystick control.
The basic code looks the same, so have you broken something in the Mchine code?

regards,
Mick.

Re: New version of Centipede for the BBC Micro (in progress)

Fantastic Tricky!

Just one thing, there seems to be several spelling errors in your instructions.

'around' , 'drops' and 'poisons' are the ones I think need changing.

again, great work.

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

3 minor changes... 1. On Disc 013 the routine to skip the instructions on A Maze In Space has been slightly changed to show you the keys before loading when you press Escape. 2. On Disc 016 minor spelling mistakes in Asteroids Deluxe and Alien Break-In have been corrected. 3. On Disc 046 in Perplexi...

I don't suppose anyone has been able to convert Flightpath 737 to work on the BBC B from its original Electron version?

Re: New version of Centipede for the BBC Micro (in progress)

Hi Tricky
This looks fantastic.
Thanks for the lives!

Any chance of being able to press BREAK to exit.
I believe moving code down and over &258 causes the problem.

regards,
Mick.

Hi Tricky,

Fantastic!

Is there any chance of you doing a splash screen?
Also I hope you can include at least a "Game Over"

regards,
Mick.

PS Keep up the good work!

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

Hi Col,
Sorry, I didn't see the bit at the top ref Pharaoh's Tomb.

Had a busy weekend with the wife in hospital and I want to get as much stuff sorted and posted before I go away in March, so my posts are a bit short.
I will try in future to name some names when posting stuff.

Re: Billiards - H & H software 1983

Here's a simple BBC B Disc hack I have made. I have created a loader which is in keeping with other H & H titles like Loony Lift which features the text from the inlay. Then the main game is first loaded a &1100 and a routine is added (at line 10) to *Load MC at &2AE0 (only if page is at...

BBC Sub Hunt from Betasoft wanted

Hi all,
Does anyone have a BBC B tape version of Sub Hunt by Betasoft?
Or the BBC version of War At Sea, which also featured Blockade (which I have).
Both games were by Philip Coulson.

thanks,
Mick.

Re: Wanted BBC B Aeronautical Dogfight 1

It looks like Aero DF 1 was a Master 128 copy as it has *ADFS statements in its listing. It is however, possible to get the game to work on a BBC B. Firstly removing the Electron *FX from line 10 of AD1 5 Then changing the mode from 5 to 1 Then downloading the game to &E00 due to space. Then add...

Re: Wanted BBC B Aeronautical Dogfight 1

Looking further at this, in the G.AD1 5 file there is a *FX163,128,1 command which IIRC is an Electron prompt. So was this game an Electron only version of the game or was there a BBC Version? Or is Aeronautcal Dogfight an Electron version and Aeronautical Dogfight 2 the BBC version? I would really ...
