Re: Billiards - H & H software 1983

Here's a simple BBC B Disc hack I have made. I have created a loader which is in keeping with other H & H titles like Loony Lift which features the text from the inlay. Then the main game is first loaded a &1100 and a routine is added (at line 10) to *Load MC at &2AE0 (only if page is at...

BBC Sub Hunt from Betasoft wanted

Hi all,
Does anyone have a BBC B tape version of Sub Hunt by Betasoft?
Or the BBC version of War At Sea, which also featured Blockade (which I have).
Both games were by Philip Coulson.

thanks,
Mick.

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

Just re-posted Disc055 due to a correction in Laser Range at line 1280 where a space is required after IFE%<0 as published in a later Model B Computing tape. Also: Disc083 is re-posted due to a correction in Gomoku at lines 450 and 460 to prevent the cursor going off the top or bottom of the screen ...

Re: Wanted BBC B Aeronautical Dogfight 1

It looks like Aero DF 1 was a Master 128 copy as it has *ADFS statements in its listing. It is however, possible to get the game to work on a BBC B. Firstly removing the Electron *FX from line 10 of AD1 5 Then changing the mode from 5 to 1 Then downloading the game to &E00 due to space. Then add...

Re: Wanted BBC B Aeronautical Dogfight 1

Looking further at this, in the G.AD1 5 file there is a *FX163,128,1 command which IIRC is an Electron prompt. So was this game an Electron only version of the game or was there a BBC Version? Or is Aeronautcal Dogfight an Electron version and Aeronautical Dogfight 2 the BBC version? I would really ...

Re: Flip! - Icon

Taken another look today. This time under Bem, just in case it was a emulator thing. However, in 1 player mode and using a word with just 1 letter, it crashed. It also crashed under 1 letter with scrambled selected as well. Reloaded BeebEm and Exmon II. In the FLIP2 file after downloading I found th...

Re: Flip! - Icon

Ran my copy of Flip, the Icon original from Disc013. Ran the game from cold start. Had no extra chips like Disc Doctor or Exmon II running. Set it up for 1 player game with normal and user words. Selected a 1 letter word "M". Went to guess wrong on purpose and put in "A" on its o...

Re: Bug Eyes not working?

Very good news, Fix11 works.
I have now added it to Disc012 and reposted that disc.

This version contains the moving stars whilst loading and Bill C's Datacentre fix and Jools confirms is fully playable and completable.

Re: High Score Challenge S8 - R9 - Bug Eyes

Absolutely GOOD NEWS! I have now added this working version to my Disc012 and will be reposting that disc shortly. Also, I have added the amended code to the Zelda Meets The Bug Eyes alternative version that appeared a later games compilation tape and was on my ALTD002. I have been able to retransfe...

Re: High Score Challenge S8 - R9 - Bug Eyes

Absolutely fantastic! I could not have fixed it without Jools playing the game. Just one thing left, fix11 below is fix10 with a cursor off routine. It would be great to find out if this version works, or if the cursor off routine somehow breaks the game. If OK then fix11 will be the best version we...

Re: High Score Challenge S8 - R9 - Bug Eyes

Sort of good news then. Just to be sure, we know fix7 is OK but doesn't have Bill C's Datacentre fix. Fix 8 does, but gameplay may be affected. So I am going to add the star routine to both fix 7 and fix 8 and repost them here as fix 9 and fix 10 respectively. Fix 9 has stars moving whilst loading, ...

Re: High Score Challenge S8 - R9 - Bug Eyes

Fantastic news! Now we can build from this one step at a time. The first step is to add Bill C's Datacentre fix to this version and see if it still works. If so, then we will have a working version for use with a Datacentre. If you could try this one. Also, if this works, then I will try a different...

This is very strange as I have checked all the Machine Code and it is identical to that version. Although the working version has all the code for the smaller files stored then moved into position, the code is the same. However, 3 things that may be of concern, although I cannot see how are... 1. Th...
