Re: Wanted + Apocalypse inlay info

Found that, but I cannot get the instructions to download.

Managed to get some off World Of Spectrum, but really need the BBC ones in case there are differences.

Beebug Pyramid Patience faulty

Hi all, Here's another game that does not work on a BBC B. Its Pyramid Patience from Beebug in 1993. It does work, however, in Master Mode. I believe the VDUs in the first file may be to blame. Can anyone please sort it out? Part 2 should run at &E00 put doesn't work in BBC mode if downloaded to...

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

Just had to re post Disc 117. This is due to me making the decision to include the newly restored Micro User game called Water Works and this replaces Micro User's Solitaire which has now moved to Disc 118 which is out next month. This was done because Water Works contains 6 files and there was 7 fi...

Hi All, I have a game called Snake aka Black Adder from Your Computer. The only issue is that you do not die when you eat yourself although the instructions say you will! Anyone able to check the code in this one. Snake YC.zip I would love to include it on my Disc 118 next month if fixed in time. re...

As promised, here it is...

Water Works complete with full instructions from The Micro User.
I have also moved the cursor off routine closer to the Mode 1 statement in the main file to avoid the long flicker you get each time just before the options page.

Re: Water Works by The Micro User faulty?

Yes your're right, the original is OK. It was me adding line 595 that caused the problem. Was about to give up and let H get used when I tried this... Changing line 590 to IF INKEY~74 PROC A ELSE IF INKEY~85 AND U=0 PROCA ELSE B=0 seems to solve it. Attached is another copy for testing. WaterWorks.z...

Re: Water Works by The Micro User faulty?

Thank you Bill for those. I will get them typed up and included into the game on Thursday. Straight away though I see they say that player 2 uses Return whereas in the game it uses ]. Also it says in Expert mode use G and F whereas I think F should be H. I expect this is so you can press both "...

Re: Water Works by The Micro User faulty?

Fantastic work! Just possibly 3 slight bugs left in the game. Firstly pressing TAB makes the time go back up to 98. Not sure if this is a cheat or just something the author left in to test the game but it serves little other purpose. If you change line 600 from D=0:T=99 to THEN T=1 then Time gets se...

Re: Water Works by The Micro User faulty?

Just had another look. Was wondering if it was due to poking to &7E or something as I think there may be emulation errors but it doesn't work under BeebEm or bem. Not able to check on a real BBC so if anyone can, then that would be great. Mick. PS Doesn't seem to work in Master mode either now! ...

Re: 30th Anniversary BBC and Electron Collection

The fault with 3D Bomb Alley only affects my hack. The original tape is OK. Bomb Alley worked fine with keybo...

Now sorted as a HIMEM=&E00 has now been inserted.

Just as I suspected! Wendy Goes Walkies is on this issue. This explains the APS in the loader and now we know where it comes from.

Also on the disc is Hilo. This is on one of my discs and again, now we know where it comes from.

Code Breaker by W R Maynard-Smith is a new find though!
