Thanks, I've compared CRC's with those from the 80186 board and they match.

Spectrum Currah MicroSource

I believe we have a few Spectrum people here so thought I'd ask. I'm looking for a ROM for the Currah MicroSource as documented at http://www.shadowmagic.org.uk/spectrum/roms.html . There is a copy out there but is actually a TZX image and the contents are the wrong size. It looks like the Fuse emul...

Nice, any chance of ROM dumps? We have this emulated in MAME but the usual system monitor is only one ROM, whereas you have two. There's also a Mastermind ROM in MAME for this board which may be of interest to you.

Re: Dee-Kay and Ashley Greenup Railway Simulations

By the way... does anyone find these interesting?? I have Googled a few references to people playing these games and they aren't on computer forums, but they are on Railway forums. Are they for "Train spotters" only? I think you'd need to know your locomotives and routes involved to be an...

Re: Coming Back

As a result, I am now exporing emulators, particularly BeebEm , mainly using Vn.4.03 because it supports the Master 512 co-pro. It is an excellent program, in my view, though I was a little disappointed to find that three of the programs I wrote specifically for the Master 512 do not appear to work...

I have a question about disc controller chips. Would the MB8877a work with BBC micro discs (I have a number of these form Lez Anderson, thanks Lez!). If not I'll probably crib something from the Master and use a WD1770? Yes, the Cumana QFS board uses them, see http://chrisacorns.computinghistory.or...

I've got Problem Solver 1.0 and 2.0, along with a Shibumi disk titled Rat Driver. Never heard of Rat Driver and can't find any reference to it so am curious to see what it is. I doubt Problem Solver would be protected but it will be in some kind of DOS format, maybe Acorn 800K DOS. Could you also s...

Re: MAME: Tube devices

With the correct image, every sector starts at (logical_sector_number)*512 bytes into the image, regardless of sector size. 256-byte sectors contain 256 bytes of data followed by padding, 512-byte sectors contain 512 bytes of data followed by no padding. So, the image access code can do something l...

MAME: Mouse

What are the differences between the AMX mouse and that provided with the M512, apart from the obvious 3 vs 2 buttons. I see from various sources that you should be able to use an AMX mouse with the M512 but looking at the code in b-em they are wired differently so this can't possibly be true, can a...

The general consensus is that they are the same as those in the 80186 board. Would appreciate your images though, if only to ...

Interestingly though is that the Z80 co-processor firmware also reads/writes to addresses $80 and $81. I have no idea what the difference is between the $00/$01 pair and the $80/$81 pair. The host (6502) code only uses reads/writes to addresses &FC00/&FC01. Did you ever get the Multiform to...

Nice job! How did you do that? The Casper firmware I use on BeebEm doesn't load any OS. It is hardcoded to return an error message. I thought you had the Casper running, but not the Cumana?
