Re: MAME: Video handling
One thing to be aware of with Southern Belle is that if there are additional ROMs in the system, then it doesn't seem to work quite right, because of the additional interrupt service time.

Hi Kees,
This is just so cool, I'm almost speechless!
I notice the videos are slightly jerky at times. Is this just an artefact of the video, or is the rendering running out of cycles and skipping frames? Is it any better at 2MHz?
Dave

Doesn't seem to be as much as I had hoped out there. If you are into more serious programs like Conway's Game of Life, BigEd and I wrote a version for the 6502 Co Pro that makes use of the additional banked memory to allow a very large grid: http://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=153721#p...

Anyway, is there anything similar for the B that anyone can think of ? As I say I have a very vague recollection of something it may of been a magazine type-in though or a demo included with something else I cannot remember. I wrote something similar back in 1985 which I recently (well... 5 years a...

Here's some more data: IMG_1307.JPG The scope is consistently triggering on the access to #B002, and is in infinite persistence mode, capturing data over about an hour. The top trace is Phi2, the bottom trace is D7 being driven by the 8255. Some of these levels are definitely not very digital! Dave

Re: Quantum Atom Challenge
Just a speculation, without any investigation of the datasheets: can it be caused by #B002 changing during the execution of the ADC #B002 instruction? :D getting warmer I think... According to the data sheet, the 8255 latches VSYNC (Port C bit 7) on the rising edge of Phi2 and the 6502 then reads i...

I've tried the above test on a New 2015 Atom and I can make that fail as well. But so far I have only seen a failure with a NMOS 6502 (specifically a 1MHz SY6502) CPU, not (yet) with the 2MHZ CMOS R65C02. Any more speculation as to what might be going on here? My fork is really old now.
The NuLA changes were merged back into the stardot/b-em repository master branch back in November, so any build since then should include it:

Col, I bought an 858D off eBay at Christmas and I would not recommend it . It works fine (so far), but I opened it up after hearing some horror stories concerning safety. Do you think it is worth adding support for reading the label files that can be output from beebasm (and SWIFT I think)? I added it for my local version of beebem and it is quite useful, where an address isn't an exact match, I just use the nearest label with an offset. e.g. .draw_text+3 beebasm do...

Right, I think I can now time order all of these versions, by tracking bug fixes. There are two bugs that appear only in this version, and that are fixed in later ver...

The original ROM should be called at #AF00 and should display the (C) PROGRAM POWER string. This means that versions 6C9E and CB06 aren't original. Agreed. The state of @ shouldn't be affected so version 1904 also isn't original. I expect this was a bug, so this is probably an earlier version. Miss...
