Re: Today I received.....

The TI-Graph Link system for which I had been searching for ages. I finally tracked one down in the USA for a reasonable price :D but then postage was added and the dreaded import duties and VAT. :? :( IMAG1048.jpg Anyway it works perfectly with my TI-85 on a Windows 3.11 machine. Yes, I still have ...

Back from a great meet, thanks. It was intense! :D =D> =D>

Best tip of the meet was from JGH; use wildcards in the *DIR command. It is so simple and obvious when one knows. I am now thinking why have I gone 30+ years without knowing that!!

Re: WTB: 5.25" Floppies

I thought that there wasn't a difference between discs used for 40 or 80 tracks and they were just made single/double sided and standard/high density. The majority of the discs I currently have are DS/DD but won't format reliably with drives selected for 80 tracks. BITD 5.25" floppies came in ...

Re: Thinking of selling some of my collection...

It is very difficult to say what people will pay these days. The upgraded Master ought to fetch £250+ and the upgraded Beeb £100+. Check recent prices for sales on eBay for the Compact - they are commanding high prices. Cub monitors seem to go between £5 and £50 these days. They are big and bulky an...

Re: Today I received.....

I'm just comparing this with my mother's hearing aid. First of all is the size difference - her aid is about 10mm x 5mm x 5mm. It includes space for a miniature battery too! The aid can also be programmed using a laptop so that it compensates exactly for my mother's hearing loss. Each ear can ...

Re: Michael Jay Publications

Hello again all. New place of employment, new stack of BBC software found! This time its a suite of Geography programs by Michael Jay Publications. I've done a quick scan and can't see it in the archive. Is it a "Missing In Action" publisher? Definitely MIA! These need archiving. [-o< The...

TI Graph link software

This is a bit of a long shot ... [-o< I have a TI-85 calculator and a serial link cable to connect to a PC. Unfortunately all the links I can find to downloads for the TI Graphlink software are dead. Texas itself has long since discontinued support for the 85. There is a link on the ticalc.org websi...

Re: Today I received.....

Now I also find I am looking at calculators. My brother used to have one in the early eighties. What is a reasonable price for one of these? That is difficult to say. The SR-52 I got was not working and in a pretty poor state but did include the battery pack, magnetic cards, case and manual and was...

A Texas SR-52 calculator. SR-52.jpg This is a monster! It has had a hard life over its 40+ years of use. The keyboard shows evidence of corrosion from damp and the case has a number of scratches and dings. Inside the battery terminals have corroded away and the battery pack is covered in white NiCd ...

Re: Early 70s Calculators

Really got the bug for collecting 70s calculators. :? I just love the clicky feel of them (Texas and HP only, I'm afraid) I recently acquired a Texas MBA calculator from the USA. It is not rare or anything but it is unusual. It is a 70s brown colour. :D It came without a charger so I just HAD to buy...
