A bit off topic but Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper on the PC and 360 is well worth a look. Very atmospheric and cleverly done.

Yes but there were probably far more of them made than gold cards :) Fingers crossed there are a few flash card projects on the go too.

Re: Additional fora for non Acorn machines?

The trouble with gold cards is that they were highly prized and expensive items when new, not to mention now decades later. A similar item on the BBC would be the co-processors, they still command a price for similar reasons. You don't really need a gold card to get on with the QL I barely use the g...

Re: Additional fora for non Acorn machines?

VP, the QL forum doesn't have such a good sense of humour as here (in my opinion). They are a bit serious, and the prices of (add-on) hardware and software are high. It's a barrier to entry. The hardware bit I agree with as would most if not all users. The tone can be serious but I try to keep it l...

You would think the relisting fees would cost too much but if he can make a living from it then fair play. I sold all 13 of my 4th Dimension games for a stingy £49 quid with only 1 bid. So bargains are there to be had :)

Re: My new digital book

I had a TK90 and a 95 but I was too scared to power them on  Neither had PSUs and I didn't know what voltage they took. The TK90 was a lovely looking machine though but quite deep compared to a normal speccy.

Looks like a superb program, I wish it was out when I used to do the videos. I had to miss quite a few that wouldn't run via VGA with the usual blank or corrupt screen. Top work :)

My advice is not too buy too much otherwise you end up with loads of stuff and no space to set them up to enjoy them. I'm scaling back all my collections to my QL stuff, the BBC and a selection of consoles.

It also has old paintings and carvings in churches etc. I remember one is like a renaissance painting of a city scene and in the sky is a comet but it has a little man inside working controls. 8)

That keyboard is a schon replacement for the original and they came in a standard QL case with the keyboard bit removed.
