All it needs is a BASIC ROM?
It’s not the Master Compact Service Manual. It’s actually the RetroClinic version which is only £4.95 new.

It is actually illegal and should not even be listed. Besides, if you want a copy of Zalaga, you can get it for free at Stairway To Hell.
jonb wrote:It's illegal because it's copyrighted? So how is it legal for it to be free on STH?

and put them on floppy disc. I can assure anybody that this is a copy I made in 1984" !
So what makes him think his copy is worth £30.00 ?

I'm pretty sure I've seen entire systems sell for less than this keyboard alone

50 quid for a single 5.25" floppy disk? He's having a laugh, surely. I paid less than that for a floppy DRIVE last month.
I also recently bought 20 Memorex disks, DS/DD, sealed in original packaging for £33, and that price included postage from the USA.
The seller could argue that HIS disk is 'genuine vintage', but then they ALL are, as none have been made for nearly 30 years.
sirbod wrote:I see yet another copy of Arc Elite just sold for ~£150 on eBay. Legal copies of the game are free to download from various sources, so why do people keep paying so much, essentially for a manual (or two in the case of the Gold version)?
I'd understand if it was a rare title, but Arc Elite sold more copies than any other game besides Zarch. It certainly reappears on eBay more than any other Arc title. My only guess is that it's collectors that aren't necessarily Archimedes owners artificially inflating the price.
BBC Elite however...you can't give them away. I have various versions, including 2nd copro and couldn't even sell them for £10! Speaking of which, I must get around to listing all the BBC stuff I have on here, so you folk can taken them off my hands...for a donation back to JASPP of course
In general, most Archimedes titles are worth face value only at around £5-£10, with rarer ones up to the £30 mark. Why "retro" sellers keep relisting the same titles for £39.99 year on year is beyond me.

I wondered how long it would be before someone made that offer![]()

I believe I have several copies of Elite and varying versions. Unfortunately for yourself, I was PM'd seconds after my post with a potential offer to take everything off my hands. I've yet to follow that up beyond acknowledging them, as I've not been home enough to find/photograph everything.
