Hello from East Hull

Postby HullBeebman » Thu Apr 27, 2017 8:09 pm

My name is Nigel and I have just joined this group.

I bought my first Beeb (issue 7), twin disk drives, loads of books and a few Beebug magazines in the late 1980's for £150. This was after I had attend the local Secondary School (night class) which had loads of Beebs Econet'ed together. I upgraded this to a Watford Electronics Shadow Ram and used it along with another Beeb (issue 3) for the next few years until the PSU's on both went pop. As of last month and thanks to Retroclinic both are now working. The issue 7 has Retroclinic's Datacentre and the issue 3 the Shadow Ram.

Many thanks to the Wakefield RISC OS Computer Club for the show last Saturday it was very interesting.

Help
A couple of weeks a go I was looking throught the Beebug magazines at http://8bs.com/beebugmags.htm because I do not have a full set. Then all of a sudden can no longer get on the web page, is it down?

Basic programming, don't understand M/C or Assembler. At the Wakefield show I saw Forth, Lisp and Comal on Beeb B's and a Master which I will try and keep my eye out for. I have Forth on the Z88 (Camel), Psion 3MX, Windows open source and versions on Sinclair machines.
