I tried replacing the RAM in the MDFS. It's untested RAM from old PC RAM and graphics boards, but I put 3 new sets of RAM in and changed them 4 chips at a time so it's got to be hoped that it is unlikely that none of those combinations was a completely good set. Can I try 42256 RAM in a BBC B to see if it actually is working?

Hmm - don't think so? -> If you post in the "MDFS resurrection thread" we can add to our knowledge in there :D

I think the next step is to start building different ROMs to see if we can isolate it (but essentially it looks like it's something to do with the memory...)
