There will be fun for all the family at TMNOC's spectacular Vintage Games Weekend.
Mums and dads -- remember those 1980's and 1990's games -- show your kids the excitement you had with retro games.
Teens (and younger) -- see what fascinated your parents and see if you can beat them at their own games!

I think you mean an Intel 4004 CPU...
The Z80 has all the normal 8 bit mathematical functions like the 6502 plus 16 bit addition and subtraction instructions.

I'm always amused at the 6502 vs. Z80 "debates"

Looks like "tricky gaming" (me) will be there with some of my beebs to add some extra Acorn goodness to the weekend.
I still have to finalise the details

First day done, everything went well. One of my beebs was a bit reluctant on arrival, so it had to spend the rest of the day in the naught boot!
There was only room for me to display 5 of the beebs I had taken, but they all got nearly continuous use all day.
Frogger was the favourite, but there were also a few special requests, so apart from me trying random games from the menu when there was a spare beeb, there was Chuckie Egg, snapper, hopper, Arcadians some games that people knew and I have forgotten.
There was only one disappointed player who i don't think believed me that there was no super Mario brothers 3 on the beeb - that gives me an idea
There were quite a few Amigas, but no archies!

Still haven't got around to the pics, still unpacking and packing kit under the stairs.

The nmoc were so pleased with how it was going, they are extending it to include today. I can't make it today, due to family commitments, so you might see actual floppy dives when they bring their beebs out.

I met some really great people, both volunteers and visitors and hopefully some of them will pop up here, including a teacher's daughter with lots of beeb educational software who was looking for a way to safely archive it.

The beebs did more than hold their own against the Amigas and early PCs, but had a struggle against the early "pong" tv games

I decided to just post a really low detail collage as there were a lot of children and I didn't get anyones permission to use their images. It somehow feels OK at an Acorn event!

There were plenty of parents encouraging their kids to "have a go, we had them at school" and some even let the child finish their game before showing them how it was done.

There were some more requests, including Imogen (not my daughter ), Revs, Zalaga, Elite (played without the keys list) and "that game with the X and the Y" (Could have done with Dave).
