Maybe it's better to make a WAV file, like hoglet suggested, before you start.
It's an old tape and when something happens, you can always create a new tape from the WAV file.

yes exactly, as I said on BoringBook first! 8)

Does anything else load into your Atom Tony? as the tape might have been recorded over with Madonna :x

Hi guys, I’d just like to thank everyone for their patience, also Kees and hoglet for
The conversion to .atm. I am thrilled that my atom purchase has been not only a great experience for me, but a gain for the achive too! This has made my day, and in a way has justified the £200 for the machine! Hope you all enjoy :D

The CSW file has errors but the UEF file works fine. I'll upload them this evening.

Here's the link to the WAV file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FU4ol ... RgKwauAgG-

Do you want to try this WAV file, see if it's any better for conversion to CSV?

(it's computer generated directly from the ATM file)

The wav file I sent was recorded from tape to goldwave, that’s when I realised it was 16 bit. So I resaved it as 8bit. So weather the conversion is a bit “how ya doin’” I don’t know. But at least it’s out there :)

Evening Dave,
this 'ATM' file did work on Atomulator127, but shows nothing in the "Show tape cat" :? (even with "Rewind tape" first)
BUT does not make anything for a UEFhq file :x
also noticed no peaks or troughs at all, and no two seconds between blocks, hence why original 4min29sec / atm 3min39sec
KorigWAV.png
original WAV 4:29

/
KatmWAV.png
ATM gen WAV 3:39

I've not tried to load the ATM into my Atom, but doubt will work, but will confirm tomorrow >1pm

When using my UEFhq, and the FreeUEF prog to .WAV, it does not sound right at all, so won't load into real Atom.
I can confirm my CSW does with BackToLife prog to .WAV, load into real Atom.

Cheers again, Col.

Hi Colin,

I managed to get a working CSW and UEF file ....
I used Charlie's ATM2WAV program to create a new WAV from the KAMIKAZ.ATM file.
Then, after converting the WAV to 8 bit mono 44kHz, I could create a working CSW file.

Greetings
Kees

Afternoon folks,
my humble spare room setup:
atomSetup.jpg
room

with playing the various .WAVs from original (Tony), my CSW, Dave's ATM>WAV, Kees ATM>CSW>WAV
I get the following with playing out laptop at Vol 23% :
kamCAT.jpg
*.

original .WAV said SUM ERROR 6 at block 0 & 9 ((so does not load) even with Vol33%)
the rest all worked, apart as said previously UEFhq>WAV from MakeUef prog a no go.

now, why does it do extra numbers after each block? ie block0000 FF then 0544 0D00 ??
this happens only with DaveATM & KeesCSW, does not do it with myCSW (still has the two secs between blocks),
the Original or Saveout from Atom....

Cheers, Col.

Yes, I also noticed this but it's working ......
I'm using CSW Viewer release 38 and MakeUEF v2.3
