Did this ever get offered for sale and/or build instructions get posted etc?

Something I can reference on the hardware list basically.

Well I did build the first AtomSID but this one never made it into production.
IIRC Phill has developed a new AtomSID board ......

The problem is that the SID chip needs +12V or +9V and the Atom only has +5V.
This was the test board with a stepup PCB.

Yeah the board I designed is a bit smaller (it's double sided which helps) but also uses a step up module to 12V, and then a 9V reg if needed, with a jumper to select 12V/9V to power the SID from, I'll post a picture when I get back from my holiday :)

Cheers.

Phill.

That would be great. If everyone posts various AtomSIDs here I can just reference this link.

Anyone remember the famous Lass incident with the SID killer monitor audio input? Lucky there was a spare SID in that c64 that was screwed to the wall. I don't know how many health & safety infractions I incurred putting a plastic bag over the smoke detector in my hotel room so I could solder this bad boy up

Here is a vid the board above in action

Aahh ..... you're right ......

Sorry Charlie, I did forget that you started the SID adventure in Manchester where the legendary SID sound for the first time came out of an Atom and filled the room ...... =D> =D>

Yes, blowing a SID, ripping a C64 of the wall and illegal smoking in your room ....... those were the days ........
Is it still working?

Greetings
Kees

Thanks. Keep them coming. If anyone has any links to layouts or build instructions just put them here. Hopefully update the hardware list tonight, got distracted playing with pitube again last night.

Edit: AtomSIDs in hardware list now point here.

There is an old Dutch article from 1990 with schematic about a SP0256 speech syntesizer and a 6581 SID chip board.
I don't know if it was ever build but maybe one of the authors can remember ............. Roland???

I have never seen this board or it's layout.

I did some research on Linked In to the other author of this article and I found a person whose profile matches with that what I expect from Leo. So I asked that person if he is the Leo I am looking for. If he is, he might have some more information about this board. To be continued ....
