Hi all,

I just stumbled across another MIA title, this time from Acornsoft: Forth Utilities:
Forth-Utilities-000.jpg

http://www.everygamegoing.com/egg/landi ... Utilities/

This is different to Atom Forth, which we already have:
s-l1600 (1).jpg

There is a review here:
http://www.forums1.jupiter-ace.co.uk/Fo ... _8210.html

Anyone have a copy of this for the archive?

Dave

There also happens to be one on ebay at the moment, with a rather nice Atom included as well:

s-l1600 (2).jpg

(Kamikaze is also a new title I think)

I found the Forth Utilities manual is actually on Roland's site:
http://www.acornatom.nl/atom_handleidin ... orth01.htm

But unfortunately no sign of the program to go with it.

Hah, found it!

In the cunningly named files: 024, 025,

Lets see if it works....

Dave

There are some other FORTH programs here:
http://www.acornatom.nl/atomarch/acl1-07/

( TAPE/EDITOR - 1 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 2 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 3 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 4 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 5 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 6 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 7 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 8 )
( TAPE/EDITOR - 9 )

( FULL GRAPHICS - 1 )
( FULL GRAPHICS - 2 )
( FULL GRAPHICS - 3 )
( FULL GRAPHICS - 4 )

But I think we have these already.

Well, it was only MIA in the sense that I didn't know it existed, so it never made it into the catalogue, and it's never been included in the archive.

It also never made it into any of the Acornsoft catalogues that I have seen. For example, I thought every Acornsoft Atom title was in this catalog:
http://chrisacorns.computinghistory.org ... orAtom.pdf

So it's really exciting to discover a new title by a major Atom publisher. Rather like finding a previously unknown Picasso (except worth a bit less....)

I wonder what else you have in your little Dutch Acorn Attic? Do you have a list of your tapes or some pictures?

Dave

P.S. The green one is the main Forth program, and that is in the archive.

Probably worth trawling some of the online databases, and see if they also bring up anything new:
http://www.gamesdatabase.org/list.aspx? ... acorn_atom
and
http://www.everygamegoing.com/egg/searc ... pe=machine

Edit: Eventually found Forth Utilities listed in an advert:
