There's a mistake in the article. The Atom has a 6847 and not a 6845 ... how to contact the author :o

I just stumbled across a review of the Prophet II, from Personal Computer World (PCW) March 1983.

Does anyone know if the Prophet's spreadsheet software still exists anywhere?

Here's a very detailed review of Atom Forum from Computing Today, October 1982:
http://www.jupiter-ace.co.uk/Forth_gene ... _8210.html

I'd love to get hold of a copy of "Forth Theory and Practice" if anyone has one they are willing to sell. :D

The first half of this book is at http://www.vintagecomputer.net/fjkraan/ ... _00-09.pdf

Wim has contact with F.J.Kraan so maybe he can ask for the other half.

I think Dave wants an original because the scan is already in the Atom Books archive: http://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewto ... rth#p67193

O, I didn't know. Google didn't either because it didn't show up in my search results.

Yes, it was the real paper book I was after. :D

Forth was one of the few software packages I bought as a youngster for my shiny new Acorn Atom. I always feel guilty that I didn't get very far with it.

Just found a scan of Atom articles/adverts in the Interface Magazine.
I think it was a rare magazine because you can't find a lot of information about this Magazine on the internet.

This is a site about the Interface Magazine: http://www.zx81.de/interface/_frame_e.htm
I have mailed Peter to see if he wants to share his Interface Magazine scans.

Greetings
Kees

There is a real colour advert for the Acorn Atom, I found it in an issue of 'Computing Today' and uploaded it here:-
download/file.php?id=33090&mode=view
Sorry about the artefacts from my Epson scanner, I really need to dismantle and clean it :-(

I guess it really belongs here,

Hi,
amazing, I never ever have seen an Atom with a LOCK key-cap that says, SHIFT LOCK...

The ESC, BREAK, COPY, CTRL and REPT key-caps hasn't anything printed on...

Also these key-caps are extremely shiny, never seen that before too...

The key-caps are looking a bit like the old Beeb key-caps... :-k

Thanks for the pic... :-D
