Sharp MZ-800 - a little presentation

Postby YuT666 » Sat Jun 17, 2017 11:52 am

My "new" Sharp MZ-800 arrived (including an amber monochrome monitor) ... it will be a good addition for my collection. The basic model is a MZ-811, the MZ-821 had a tape drive and the MZ-831 an additional printer included. So this one here is originally a MZ-821, but someone replaced the tape drive with a quick disk drive.

It is in a very good technical and optical condition (well, I'll remove the yellowing of the disk drive and space bar soon), but i can't test the MZ-1F11 disk drive, 'cause i don't have any quick disks.

So loading wav files is the easiest way so far. I used mzf2wav32 to convert some mzf files to wavs and it worked like a charme.

Nice :D =D>

I also have a machine with a quick disk drive, but only the drive, not the interface that goes in the expansion port :(
And also no disks...

Oh, and more pictures of you machine would be most welcome :D

Thanks ...

Yeah, this one looks like a "real" computer (my opinion).

It's pretty hard to find original games an other stuff like the MZ 1E19 interface. I'm happy, that this one was included in the package.

Tried to load some other games with my old smartphones and all work.

Love the monitor. Been after one for years...
