Unsubscribe trouble...

Postby Multiwizard » Tue Nov 24, 2015 9:26 am

Hi,

I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem, but a while ago I did subscribe myself to Topic: ICE T65/Z80/6809 question...

After a week or so I did try to unsubscribe myself for this Topic.

On the screen I get the usual notification:

Information

You are no longer subscribed to this topic.

But every-time when there is a new reply I still get an E-mail notification about this Topic...

I somewhere a admin able to fix this? :(

I did try to send a pm to Samwise, but no response... :?

Greetings, Wim... :-)

Thanks in advance.

I think I may have clicked something in the Notifications menu thing when I was subscribed to a topic I wasn't interested in any more. Sorry that I can't be of more assistance! Maybe I should subscribe to this topic and see if I can replicate the problem and solution, although everyone has to promise not to post to this topic ever again if it doesn't work.

Hi Mark,

thanks for the advice... :)

I have followed the steps you told, but ICE T65/Z80/6809 question isn't in the list Watched Topics... :(

So I'm not able to mark it and press the button Unwatch marked below on the page :(

You could try subscribing, then unsubscribing again.

Maybe it's a glitch from the restoration of the forums or something. I've just tried the same procedure and there was a watched topic to be removed in my settings. (I think the thing in the notifications panel I was thinking of was just the thing that marks the notification as seen so that I don't actually have to visit the thread to make it go away.)

I've tried/done it/that several times in the past, it didn't work... :(

Is it possible, Multiwizard, that you have more than one account? Are you getting email notifications only, or also getting a count in the Notifications [0] banner?

What do you see in the User Control Panel -> Overview -> Manage notifications panel...?

Manage notifications

Even though I'm not subscribed and don't get mails, this notification from my brief time subscribed still sticks around, and I can't actually remove it. I'm just guessing here, though, but you never know what is going on in the database.
