This is an interesting look at Acorn Computers, from the Journal of General Management.

It is indeed interesting! It's been mentioned a couple of times before, and in threads which are themselves pretty interesting:
Why did Acorn ignore Motorola? (mentioned on the third page)
Communicator Teletext Video Mode (a topic split off from that one)

Yes, it's a great source of information, and it also helps to puncture a few myths about Acorn's performance and strategy at a certain point in the company's history. The part about how the US Beeb was needlessly specified for use with television sets was quite insightful. If one is going to spend millions of dollars entering a market, it is perhaps a good idea to understand that market first. Indeed, I dug up an interesting article about the US education market not that long ago:

"Lowell's Tots Getting CPUs", Management Information Systems Week, 4th April 1984.

I guess that if people are looking for US Beebs in old storage facilities, that would give them a place to start.
