I have the latest core downloaded to my MiSTer FPGA system, created the AcornAtom folder in the Games directory and proceeded to create a boot.vhd file containing the archive but for the life of me cant get it to run. keep getting the Not Ready error..

Does anyone have a compiled vhd ready or can help me create a suitable one please
I don't think there are many MiSTer users here (I'm not one).

You might want to contact davewoo999, possibly by posting in this thread:

"Four-Stroke Cycle" (jul83)

This PCW Issue is missing (but Rev has a copy)

TODO: Scan the Atom article.
Right, sorry about the delay but I have finally dug this one out. It's in the Program File section rather than an article, and it's pretty short but here it is in a couple of iPad snaps. Happy typing ! :D

This program requires the Ross utility ROM
I have never heard of that ROM. Is that also missing in action?

However, I think this program can be converted to use the more common GAGS and Josbox ROM for graphic shapes, text in CLEAR 4 (a.k.a. GRMOD) and the READ/DATA statements.

I've been doing some research today on the Tevward Microtech adventures for Oric, but I noticed that in several of their advertisements they also have Cave Quest listed for the Atom. Is this a known or archived game?

Neither - I haven't come across the game, nor the company before.

Hi all,

I've created a V12.00 release that includes 44 new titles from Kees' AGD packs 52-62:
https://github.com/hoglet67/AtomSoftwar ... tag/V12_00
Screenshot from 2021-11-19 10-13-37.png
Screenshot from 2021-11-19 10-17-36.png
Screenshot from 2021-11-19 10-16-14.png
You can use the MENU filter feature to select just these new titles:
- Load chapter C
- Press 8 then B

I've done very little testing of these, so please let me know of any issues.

There are a few titles that have been uploaded by Wim in the last coupld of pages of this thread. I haven't added then yet, but they will be added to the next build of V12.

"You can use the MENU filter feature to select just these new titles:

I'm not really sure how I can be any clearer...

Step 1: Press Shift-BREAK on your keyboard to boot the V12 Atom Software archive (which I assume you have installed)

Step 2: Press the C key on your keyboard to select Chapter C containing the Arcade Game Designed titles

Step 3: Press the 8 key on your keyboard to bring up the "Filter By Collection" menu

Step 4: Press the B key on your keyboard to filter by #V12

You should now see a filtered list of tiles which are the new ones that were added in V12 of the Archive.

If that's not clear enough, you need to explain what you are trying to do, and what's not working as you expect.

Brilliant, thanks for this.

I wrote one of these for my Atom back in 1982 I think.
